Meet Dr. Matsumoto
My profession is so much more than treating patients' periodontal disease; it’s about building relationships with my patients and helping them to live better, healthier lives. Our patients are real people from all walks of life, and I love hearing their life stories, and learning about their interests and experiences. I've enjoyed the friendships I’ve made with my patients over the years.

Outside the Office
I grew up in Japan until I was 18 years old, when I moved to the US as a high school senior foreign exchange student. After graduating from dental school, I moved to Washington to complete my periodontal training. I’ve lived in Bellevue for 12 years with my wife and our school-aged daughter.
I love to spend time with my family, but when I’m not with them, my hobbies include classical music, reading and art. I also do a lot of weight training at a gym and train at a local mixed martial arts gym alongside famous professional fighters. I am passionate about becoming a better martial artist and have a fourth degree black belt in Karate, having earned the title of Sensei.
